A long time ago, right when Syriuci was just starting to form as a nation...there was a large tower being built in Azanus. The current Emperor at the time wanted to reach Heaven, and so he conscripted everyone to build this high tower for him, in which he would sit and watch the sky, hoping to speak to the Heavens themselves...until the tower itself blocked out the sun, making the skies in Azanus eternally dark.

Day after Day he would sit, waiting for a sign from Heaven...but eventually in his own insecurities, his own fears about his true closeness to the Holy Light, he started forming delusions. Delusions that he himself WAS Heaven. That he was man's reborn form of God. Much was his arrogance...until the Heavens themselves grew angry...and as a result destroyed the Tower from the Ground up, giving room for the Sun, now bright in the sky, to shimmer and shine, bringing warmth on the world.

This, citizens of Syriuci, is the Tower Festival. The Festival to remove all insecurities and fears...to go to a Loved One and discuss your grievances and sadnesses, if only to bring out the old and in with the new, as the Sun Festival begins on tomorrow's sunrise.

Please take care, and all of you...

Destroy the Tower in your hearts, and make way for the warmth of the Sun.

Hello citizens! The cards have predicted many showers throughout the last stretch of April! May is sure to be full of beautiful flowers!

Just to let everyone know, I've gone ahead and made the contact page. It's to make it easier for us players to get in contact with each other. It is also f-locked so only rp players can see it. if you want, you may contribute your e-mail and im to it. :3

There have also been a few new rules added to the rule page (nothing too major, just things I forgot to point out before, and also based off problems I've seen in other rps lately) and edits to a few others to make them more clear. They're nothing too drastic and I doubt anyone would disobey them but I felt I should add them anyways. They mostly concern taking too many characters and things you can change about your characters when applying that I neglected to mention at the start of the rp. (things like gender, age and race) Please read them over once more when you have time.

There have also been changes to the apply page, elaborating on the AU "rule". And finally, requests have finally been added to the character request page! Please feel free to request characters you want in the rp guys and show the rp to any friends you have you can play the requested characters well!

Lastly, on the topic of the character requests I'd like to make it known we DO want other characters to take up characters who are more important in Syriuci's world, such as members of the empress' court or congregation clergymen. This is mentioned in the rules now too. We'd just like you to ask permission first if you want a high ranked character and don't flaunt the power to have like...Syriuci start a war or anything like that. (you don't have to ask for permission with the requested characters tho :3)

The snow's melted just in time for the Fool's Festival!

That's right citizens, the Fool Festival is here. Have fun with pranks and tricks, but make sure to keep it all in good fun and legal! ;)

I'm considering making up a contact list that'll only be viewable to the RP's players. Watch future updates for this.

OOC: Should have posted this sooner, but y'know XD

In honor of all the great Sacrifices that have been made by fellow martyrs, congregation members, and other Syriucians in the past generations, the Congregation is proud to announce the Hanged Man Festival! In honor, I hope everyone has a nice dinner with friends and family in their home! Or come to the square for the modest festivities!

Okay guys, strike's over! Thank you so much for your cooperation, you're all fantastic! <3

For the record, the main reason the rp was put on strike was because of members participating in the strike. A handful of the RP's players were on strike, including half of the mod squad. In the end, it was just a better idea to shut the whole thing down rather than let things go on with half of the group MIA. I hope no one minded! Continue on as usual! ^^

The weather's finally starting to warm up! Spring is nearly here folks...

That's right guys we are taking part in the Content Strike.

Info on the Strike #1
More info.
A list of times it starts

Best reason I've found yet to do it

For myself the strike starts at 6 pm today, this will differ for everyone. Now I don't expect everyone to participate in the strike on their personal journal. You may if you please. However the RPG is going into strike and I want you all to not post here during the strike. Please finish up all your posting before the strike starts in your area.

Don't like the fact I'm "conforming" and "forcing everyone not to post"? Tough. It's my RPG, my rules, my way. Don't like it, too bad. It's been that way from the start. I won't be doing anything to the people who do post during this time period but I will be severely disappointed.

Lucky for us I suppose the rpg is still rather small and not that active, and all of you are great people. I don't think any of you are going to give me flack like some comm moderators have been getting (See what happened at mintyapple) just because they want to try and make a difference. So please guys, I'm not forcing this, but I beg of you to just leave the rp for 24 hours and find something else to do.

If you must, you can log over IM with people and post the logs after the strike is complete. :) I think I might be doing that myself.

Greetings citizens! We've received weather warnings from the Congregation. For the next week and a half, it shall be horribly windy and cold! (no more forecasts of snow though) However the cards say that for the rest of March it shall be mild.

As you may have realized there are now pages on dropped characters and people picking them up in the future. Please check out the policy page to see how this will work and what to do if you yourself are dropping out. Thank you.
